It’s interesting to read about these horrifying stories in the month when we celebrate mothers.
Case 1: Krista Dittmeyer. Here is a 20-year-old mother from Portland, ME who was found dead in a pond at Cranmore Mountain. Her child was found unharmed (thankfully) in her mother’s car, alone. The investigation revealed that Dittmeyer was possibly a drug user and dealer.
And don’t even get me started on her father, who is currently in jail already.
Is it just me, or is Little Girl Dittmeyer going to have a chance at a much better life without her mother than she would have had with her?
After all, look what happened to Camden.
Case 2: Julianne McCrery. Here is a 42-year-old mother from Irving, TX who killed her son, dumped his body in South Berwick, ME. She may be a published author listed on Amazon.com. Her book was written for mothers about how to get a good night’s sleep. Hmmm…wonder if “murdering your child to shut him up” is one of her tips? She was (presumably, per Texas arrest records) also a prostitute and a drug dealer. She was described as “a caring mother” who “loved her son” by people who knew her.
All-righty then.
I did a Google search and it looks like the death penalty is alive and well (unlike Camden) in New Hampshire. How fortuitous that Julianne chose to drive to that state to murder her child.
She is quoted as saying “He’s in heaven. I want to go there as soon as possible.”
Let’s send her.
Shocking!
…and (heart)sickening.
